Usage and dosage
Take this product and add an appropriate amount of physiological saline to dilute it to a solution containing 5-10 μg of domperidone (DOM) per ml. Separately, take luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone A₃ for injection (LHRH-A₃) and dissolve it in physiological saline to prepare a solution containing 5-20 μg of LHRH-A₃ per ml. Adjust the dosage as needed, mix the two solutions thoroughly, and then inject intraperitoneally (at the base of the pectoral fin) or intramuscularly (near the base of the dorsal fin). The dosage for salmon per kg body weight is as follows:

The grass carp underwent a second induced spawning treatment. The first dose was 5mg of DOM + 5μg of LHRH-A₃, followed by a second induced spawning treatment 24-48 hours later, with a dose of 5mg of DOM + 10μg of LHRH-A₃. Male broodstock were generally injected with about half the dose given to female broodstock.
Functions and uses
Dopamine antagonist. Used in combination with luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone A₃ (LHRH-A₃) for artificial induction of estrus and ovulation in fish.
Pharmacological effects
Dopamine receptor antagonist. Domperidone can block the inhibitory effect of dopamine on the release of pituitary gonadotropins (GtH) and ovulation in fish, and enhance the efficacy of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone A₃ (LHRH-A₃) in inducing GtH release and ovulation.
Adverse reactions
No adverse reactions have been observed when used according to the prescribed method and dosage.
Precautions
▸After using this product on the parent fish, it is forbidden for anyone to consume it.
▸The effect is better when the water temperature is between 20 and 30°C. Below 20°C, the labor-inducing effect is affected.
▸ Excessive dosage may lead to premature ovulation due to induced labor, thus affecting fertilization rate.
▸This product should be prepared and used immediately, and the mixture should ideally be injected within 0.5 to 1 hour.
Withdrawal period and storage
▸ Withdrawal period: No need to specify.
▸ Storage: Seal and store in a cool, dark place.
