Domperidone injection is a highly potent dopamine receptor antagonist specifically designed for artificial breeding management in aquaculture. In fish reproductive regulation, dopamine is a key factor in inhibiting pituitary gonadotropin (GtH) secretion and ovulation. Domperidone significantly enhances the efficacy of exogenous luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone A₃ (LHRH-A₃) in inducing gonadotropin release and ovulation by blocking this inhibitory pathway and relieving the negative regulation of the hypothalamus-pituitary axis by dopamine.

This product is typically used in conjunction with LHRH-A₃. The synergistic effect of both products allows for precise induction of estrus and spawning behavior in various freshwater economic fish species under suitable water temperatures (20-30°C), including grass carp, silver carp, bighead carp, common carp, crucian carp, bream, loach, catfish, blunt snout bream, and topmouth culter. This combination has become one of the most mature and widely used spawning-inducing techniques in modern large-scale artificial breeding aquaculture.

In actual production, proper dosage control and correct administration methods are crucial to ensuring the effectiveness of spawning induction. This product can be administered via intraperitoneal injection (base of the pectoral fin) or intramuscular injection (near the base of the dorsal fin). It should be prepared and used immediately before use, and the injection should be completed within 0.5 to 1 hour after mixing to ensure stable efficacy. For fish species requiring secondary spawning induction (such as grass carp), the prescribed divided administration plan can be followed to improve fertilization rate and reproductive success rate.
