- ▸ Initiation of follicular waves and ovulation
The Ovsynch Protocol
For effective herd management, Gonadorelin is typically utilized within the Ovsynch protocol to achieve timed artificial insemination:
Phase 1: Follicular Initiation (Day 0)
Administer 2–4 ml of Gonadorelin Injection. This initiates a new follicular wave and synchronizes the development of the dominant follicle.
Phase 2: Luteolysis (Day 7)
Administer 0.5 mg of Cloprostenol Sodium to regress the corpus luteum, preparing the animal for the final ovulatory surge.
Phase 3: Induced Ovulation (Day 9)
Administer the second dose of Gonadorelin (2-4 ml). Artificial insemination should follow exactly 18–20 hours later.
