Cetrorelix Acetate is a synthetic decapeptide, a man-made hormone. It is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist. It has the function of blocking the effects of Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone (GnRH).

This product competes with endogenous GnRH for receptors on pituitary cells, thereby inhibiting the release of endogenous luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), delaying the appearance of LH peaks. As a result, the ovulation will be controlled.

Applications

Cetrorelix Acetate is mainly used in assisted reproductive technology. For patients, It can prevent early ovulation with controlled ovarian stimulation.
