Thymosin alpha 1 is a drug peptide that is used to treat chronic hepatitis B and enhance the immune system reactivity.
Thymosin α1 is a highly conserved acid polypeptide structure which mainly distributed in the thymus tissue, in particular, thymic epithelial cells are also present in lymphoid tissues and non-lymphoid tissues. Its secretion and release are not regulated by other hormones or releasing factors.
