Dosage and Administration
Dilute with sodium chloride injection solution before use.
▸ Subcutaneous / Intramuscular Injection (Estrus Induction): Horse, cattle 1,000–2,000 IU; sheep 100–500 IU; swine 200–800 IU; dogs 25–200 IU; cats 25–100 IU; rabbits, mink 30–50 IU.
▸ Superovulation: Cows 2,000–4,000 IU; ewes 600–1,000 IU.
Actions and Indications
Hormonal drug. Primarily used to induce estrus in female animals and promote follicular development; also used for superovulation in embryo transfer.
Pharmacological Effects
Pharmacodynamics
Serum gonadotrophin is a hormonal drug with follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) activity. In female animals, it primarily exhibits FSH-like effects, promoting follicular development and maturation, thereby inducing estrus; it also has mild LH-like activity, promoting ovulation of mature follicles and even superovulation. In male animals, it primarily exhibits LH-like effects, increasing androgen secretion and enhancing sexual arousal.
Adverse Reactions
No adverse reactions have been observed when used according to the prescribed dosage and administration.
Precautions
▸ Not recommended for long-term use, as it may induce antibody production and suppress pituitary gonadotropic function.
▸ The reconstituted solution is highly unstable and heat-sensitive; use within a short time after preparation.

▸ Withdrawal Period: None required.
▸ Storage: Store protected from light, in a sealed container, in a cool place.
