Luteinizing Hormone Releasing Hormone A₃ is a synthetic polypeptide hormone and an analog of naturally occurring GnRH. It stimulates the anterior pituitary gland to release luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), significantly increasing LH levels and slightly increasing FSH levels in plasma, thereby promoting follicular maturation and ovulation.

Dosage and Administration

▸ Preparation: Dilute with sterile water for injection or normal saline. Prepare immediately before use.

▸ Intramuscular Injection: Single dose for dairy cows: 25 μg.

▸ Intraperitoneal Injection: Per fish: Grass carp 2–5 μg; silver carp and bighead carp 3–5 μg.

Indications

Hormonal drug used for treating delayed ovulation, ovarian inactivity, persistent corpus luteum, ovarian cysts, and early pregnancy diagnosis in dairy cows. Also used to induce ovulation in fish.

Pharmacological Action

Adverse Reactions

Overdosage may lead to failed induction of labor, reduced maturation rate of brood fish, or even blindness in induced fish.

Precautions

▸ Do not use other hormones after administering this product.

▸ Ineffective for fish with undeveloped gonads.

▸ Do not divide doses into multiple administrations to avoid immune tolerance, gonadal atrophy, or reduced efficacy.
